Our Mission

We believe prayer is not just something we do, but a way of being. It is how we return to the presence of God in the midst of daily life, again and again.

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus prayed. Not just in solitary moments on the mountain, but in the middle of crowds, decisions, exhaustion, and ordinary meals. He stayed rooted in communion with the Father. Paul writes that we are to “pray without ceasing”, not as a rule, but as an invitation into continual connection. Into a life where God is not an event but a presence.

This is the heartbeat of Prayminder

We began with a simple app to help people return to prayer throughout the day, not by adding another task, but by interrupting distraction with gentle reminders that draw the heart back to God. And what began as a small offering has now helped thousands across the world grow more present to Christ in their everyday lives.

It's only the beginning

Our mission is to help more believers rediscover prayer not only as intercession, but also as awareness, stillness, remembrance, and love. A way of thinking, feeling, living; a life surrendered to Christ within. That’s why we’re expanding Prayminder beyond the app, offering monthly reading plans and simple reflections on prayer and faith, written for a life grounded in the eternal now.

Our hope is that Prayminder can help nurture a growing movement of believers living more and more awake to Christ in the everyday flow of life.

Our Story

It all started during a conversation when we asked ourselves, “how can we pray more?”

Seven years ago, we took a six-month leave from our regular work, hoping to use our skills to create something meaningful that could support those walking a journey of faith. We thought about making an app, even though we weren’t yet sure what shape it would take. We wanted it to meet a simple, real need in everyday faith life, and the idea of prayer reminders came quickly. We often told people ‘I will pray for you’ and then forgot. Many friends told us they do the same.

We didn’t start with a five-year plan, gathering a team, writing up a pitch deck, or aiming to launch a spiritual startup. We just wanted to pray more, and to create something that can help us and others to do so: to pray more during the busyness of everyday life. Not just in the early morning silence or at bedtime (though those matter) but in the middle of everything. While walking to work, doing dishes, even sitting in meetings. While living life.

We felt how easy it was to forget God in the middle of the day. How much we needed small, sacred interruptions, gentle nudges; a thread of presence. So we made something for ourselves: an app that would remind us to pray.

We thought: even if it helps one person pause and remember, that would be enough. But God had something wider in mind. Seven years later, that app has made its way into over 220 countries. It has helped people log more than 24 million prayers. And all of that happened without ads, without marketing, and without a roadmap.

At first we built the app just for ourselves; but as we saw how it helped us make prayer a habit, we knew we had to share it. Even if it helped just one person, it would be worth it.

We built Prayminder because we longed to stay connected to what matters; to live in rhythm with God, not driven by productivity or pressure. We don’t have a company behind us. No investors, no churches or organizations supporting our work. We’re just two people willing to use our time and skills to help.

Prayminder has always been an offering. Not a product to promote, but a companion to those who pray. We’ve kept it private, ad-free, and simple, and we’ve done our best to hold it with open hand as an offering.

We pray it may help you walk with God through the ordinary moments, remembering He is closer than your breath, nearer than you know.
